This gorgeous Chrysler New Yorker Brougham came from California a few years ago where it was purchased and owned by a lady who moved to Springfield, Mo. It was then purchased by a collector friend who maintained it to the point of wanting to sell it in order to pursue other interests. The documentation is in the folder pictured and most importantly there is documentation from the original owner.

I've been a car collector for the past 40 years and have owned several pristine original Chryslers but never have owned one in this condition as to originality and quality and just the mere fact that its been so well taken care of all these years but then again it's only had 1,500 miles a year put on it so just enough to keep it up but not enough to keep it from driving and looking like new.

1977 Chrysler New Yorker Broughams were the pinnacle of quality in the Chrysler line and took on the role of the Imperials that had just been discontinued in 1976. This one is truly all original down to the carpet, vinyl roof, glass, upholstery and paint. The first owner at one time may have had some touch up work done, but we really can't tell as the car has never been in an accident. These cars were undercoated as standard equipment at the factory. One small spot of rust on the right rear quarter in the rear and is visible in the photo. The 440 lean burn engine starts and runs beautifully simply because the current owner had a Chrysler electronic ignition conversion installed. The transmission operates and shifts just as it should. You would think you're driving a new 1977 Chrysler. Almost everything works on the car, power seat switch on the passenger's seat needs replacing but seat manually reclines.

Air Conditioning was converted to R-134 by the current owner but it does need the a/c clutch replaced. Power steering, power seats, rear defrost, automatic transmission, power windows, power door locks, premium radio but has an after market Sony CD player under the dash by the drivers left side makes the sound system top notch. Front headlight doors work like new as does all the power equipment. The original vinyl top has corner separation but nothing that would make a collector even think about replacing or repairing as this car needs to stay original. The vinyl top condition is proof of the car being garaged or covered all of its life. All original documentation pictured goes with the car. The current owner of the car was planning on going RVing in his retirement stage of life but health reasons stopped that process He has installed a Hughes HEH 1523 low to mid range cam for extra pulling power and low end torque and the break-in oil is still in the crankcase.
