Here's what Bob had to say about his very nice LeBaron :I Purchased my unrestored 1972 Imperial with 24707 actual miles in January 2023 from a Pennsylvania Classic Car Dealer. The car was stored unused from 1992 - 2023 & had one older repaint in original Cotillon White. The body was mostly rust-free & the interior like new, but mechanically the car barely ran at all when I bought it. Upon the recommendation of an Imperial Club member, I had Mike Ronning, Managing Partner & Chief Mechanic at D&C Classic Garage in Sparks, Nevada handle all engine and other needed mechanical work. The Compression Ratio was increased from "8.2 to 1" to "10 to 1", and all the following enhancements were added to the stock 7.2 liter, 440 engine: Edelbrock Power Package; custom modified Edelbrock #1806 carb; aluminum intake manifold; roller lifters; Sealed Power forged pistons; Melling push rods; shaft mounted roller adjustable rockers; MSD Pro Billet Distributor, and Dual chrome tipped custom exhausts. My Imperial now develops 475hp, with 515 ft/lbs. of torque.
