Owner : Michael Beall
Vin # YM23K73107733
This car is Factory Royal Black with Black Interior
This car was formally restored and was a show car, The Husband and wife team drove it to shows all over the U.S. The gentleman that built it passed away. His wife drove the car under the carport, and the car sat for 7 years. She never drove the car again after his passing. it has been sitting in the carport for about 8 years. Over time the drivers side glass had been left down, therefor letting the elements of Oklahoma seasons get the best of the car. the car is still in good condition but it just needs freshened up. I have Photo documentation of the restoration as well as a case full of paperwork and paper documentation, that came with the car.
INTERIOR:
The Interior is actually in amazing shape for the year of this car. The seats will need some work, They are ripped where the cloth inserts are but the rest of the seats are in good shape. The Dash is great, no cracks, IT has the Very Rare Automatic lights dimmer, Tilt Telescopic steering wheel, Foot controlled radio station tuner, and Remote trunk switch. Front Bucket seats, with floating center arm rest. The drivers window will not stay up, The motor is frozen and that will be addressed.. The drivers door panel needs work , it has gotten wet over the years and curled the wood inserts., the window switches will need cleaned and new contact grease put on them. The rear seat is in great shape, no tears, It has New Headliner, The Trunk carpet is still in good condition with the original spare cover. as well as the side panel, It also has the Original spare tire.
ENGINE:
IT has the Numbers matching 440 with the original transmission. I know that the Top end of the motor was rebuilt about 5000 miles ago. IT has Chrome valve Covers and air breather (this will all change back to original), I also Have the Original Imperial steel factory breather with aluminum insert. The car needed the carburetor rebuilt but IT did Run and drive, I bought a Brand NEW Carter Competition Carb for it. It will need to be installed and tuned. The AC compressor has been converted to 134 A and as far as I know it works. The Engine bay is Very Original and clean, but does need to be restored.
I have all 4 Original Imperial Hubcaps the tires have a lot of tread on them.
I will be documenting the build of this car with Photos. She will be a beauty when she is done.
here is a link to the photos of the restoration. Its still in progress, but Its getting there.
