This 1959 Imperial Crown was offered for sale on "Bring a Trailer" in 2024.Here's what the seller/owner had to say about this very nice Imperial ..... This 1959 Imperial Crown is one of 1,728 Southampton two-door hardtops produced for the model year. Power is supplied by a 413ci V8 paired with a push-button three-speed automatic transmission, and the car has been repainted in metallic gray over beige leather upholstery. Equipment includes a Weiand intake manifold, an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, dual exhaust, wheel covers, whitewall tires, air conditioning, power windows, swiveling front seats, and a push-button AM radio. The car reportedly spent time in California, Kansas, and Utah before the current owner acquired the vehicle in 2017 and returned it to California. The carburetor, fuel sender, fuel lines, a freeze plug, and the coolant were replaced in April 2024. This Imperial hardtop is now offered by the seller on behalf of the owner with manufacturer's literature, service records since 2012, the removed carburetor and intake manifold, and a California title in the owner's name that lists the car's make as Chrysler. Finished from the factory in Sandstone (U), the car was repainted in metallic gray under prior ownership. A stainless trim band stretches over the roof panel, and a simulated spare-tire cover is integrated within the Flight-Sweep deck lid. Other features include chrome bumpers, bright trim, side moldings, dual side mirrors, tail fins, reverse lights, and dual exhaust outlets. The seller notes bubbled paint on the rocker panels beneath both doors, and touch-up work and thinned paint is also evident. Black-painted 15" steel wheels wear styled covers and are mounted with 235/75 American Classic whitewall tires that were installed in 2019; a spare is stowed in the trunk. The car is equipped with power steering, and braking is provided by power-assisted drums at all four corners. The seating surfaces have been reupholstered in beige leather with embossed Imperial logos. The outboard front seats can swivel outward to aid ingress and egress. Appointments include black carpeting, power windows, a power-adjustable driver seat, a push-button AM radio, a power antenna, a dash-mounted rearview mirror, a fold-down front center armrest, a heater, a crown-logo dome light, rubber floor mats, and door-armrest storage bins. The aftermarket air conditioning utilizes R134a refrigerant and was recharged in preparation for the sale. The seats exhibit wear, and a stain is visible in the middle of the driver-seat cushion. The clock does not work. The two-spoke steering wheel has a half horn ring and frames a bar-style 120-mph speedometer and gauges for coolant temperature, battery status, fuel level, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 16k miles, approximately 400 of which were added under current ownership; true mileage is unknown. The 413ci V8 has been updated with a Weiand intake manifold, an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, and an Edelbrock air cleaner. The rear main seal reportedly was replaced in 2017 under prior ownership. The carburetor was installed in April 2024, at which time the fuel sending unit, some fuel lines, and a freeze plug were replaced and the coolant was changed. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission. Corrosion is noted on underbody components, particularly aft of each tire. An operating manual, service manuals, service records since 2012, and removable vanity mirrors are included in the sale. The removed intake manifold, Carter carburetor, and air-cleaner assembly also will accompany the vehicle, as pictured in the gallery below. (WebMonster note:) Final sale price was $37,250
