One of my favorite cars at local cars show for over 30 years has been a '55
Imperial Sedan in embassy gray owned by Bill & JoAnn Hammond of Kingsport, TN
My love for that car is why, in 1981, I fell for another '55 Imperial Sedan then
owned by Mike Greene of the Charlotte area. I first saw this car in 1981 at
an organizational meeting of the Carolinas Chrysler Club. It is a striking
solid black with gray interior. The odometer shows 53,000 miles and that is
mostly likely accurate. It has obviously been well cared for throughout its
existence. It is an original "survivor' car. I acquired the car in 2001. In
Octoer of 2002 it was shown at the Antique Automobile Club of America's
National Meet in Hershey, PA. There is received the HPOF (Historical
Preservation of Original Features) certification. The car is a pleasure to
drive and, in season, makes many trips to area car shows and cruise ins.
