Imperial Home Page -> Imperials by Year -> 1955 -> Victor Coiro's Black 1955 4-Door
My name is Victor I purchased the car from the original owner's daughter. He was a Doctor in upstate New York. I have the orginal bill of sale. He paid $5000 for the car, and traded in a 50 De Soto suburban. He died and his daughter the Imperial in her garage and there it stood till I saw it on e-bay. I was very interested in the condition of the pot metal, and they said it was nice, so off to Mass I went with a wheel dolly and my friends truck. The interior was dry rotted and the car need a gas tank, fuel pump, brakes, some paint touch up and seat and headlining. Mice used the interior for a town for years. It still has most of its original paint and chrome. It runs great with 50 thousand miles. Its now a great driving car and has a new original style interior. Above are some photos of the car now. I own some old plymouths 56, 57, 58 and other old mopars and 2 1953 Caddys. It was time for me to find an IMPERIAL! I was hoping for a 55, 57, 58 or a 61, I have owned 2 64 Imperials in the past a conv and sedan and always loved them so I'm back in the ranks of the Imperial owners Thanks. Victor Coiro Staten Is New York.
