The 1933 Imperial line consisted of two series: the CQ, which rode on a
126" wheelbase, and the custom CL series riding on a 146"
platform. Both series used the same powertrain.
For '33, the Imperial sported vertical doors on the hood sides, replacing
the louvers that had been there previously. Chrysler's most expensive
vehicle, the Crown Imperial phaeton, was priced at an "astronomical"
$3395.
