Now with the brake shoes off.
Getting the springs off is easy.
(Getting them back on again is another story!)

You'll notice the brake cylinder has been unbolted from the backing plate. Before you do this, disconnect the brake line from the cylinder. It is much easier to do this with the cylinder attached.
