From Neal:

I had my heater core removed by a local radiator shop in summer 2001. They sent it out for a rebuild by Old Air Products in Fort Worth. It took about 2 or 3 weeks, I think, and the price was fairly reasonable, though I don't remember how much. I also had my heater control valve rebuilt by them for my '59.  It looks like new and was $90 with shipping, I think.  Perhaps they have a stock of them, if you don't have one to send to rebuild.

From Bill:

There will be controversy to my opinion on buying rebuilt parts such as A/C compressors, starters, carburetors, etc.. I always have my part rebuilt as when you take it off your car & have it rebuilt by a quality rebuilder it will fit properly & hopefully work correctly.  I send my A/C compressors to Old Air Products in Texas because that is one of the things they specialize in. Give them a call, you'll be amazed at all the A/C stuff they rebuild; condensers; evaporators, etc. If you need a 1960 compressor to start with go to Lowell Howe's .
