After quickly
proving himself a tough guy and a wise guy at school, Tony disables the
"teach's" car and offers to give her a lift: "Leave
it there. I'll give ya a ride home in a real
cab." Note: what's happened to this car's grille, down near
the bumper? |

MOVIE CLIP #2: The Drag Race
"You sure
you don't wanna turn on?" "No, with me it's strictly
business," Tony responds to the girl. "You know, I knew
a boy once, who gave himself a little fix, and he dropped dead...just
like that." |

"It's

"Hey
Tony, are you gonna drag with this hearse?" "Put
your money where your mouth is," quips the girl.
"Oh, are you gonna race Daddy's car?" teases Flat
Top. "Why don't you make like bubble gum and blow?" is
her retort. "Oh, woww. Hey, whatta ya got here...a real
live motor?"

Before the
race, Tony has hidden drugs inside the hubcap, which is shown throughout
the race coming perilously close to falling off (in cheesy fake
close-ups). Look at that Imperial script, though! |

Tony had been
hanging back through most of the race, but at this point his girl yells
"Let's make it exciting, honey. C'mon, we'll show 'em!"
while pushing the accelerator to the floor. As the Imperial splits
through the two remaining cars in the race, she yells back, "Who's
driving a hearse now?" |

Though Tony
wins the race, he can't outrun the cops. His hubcap happens to
fall off just in time to reveal the drugs to the police. |
