Nice rear
quarter shot of the elegant 1962 Imperial LeBaron as it pulls up to the
mansion's entrance. [I wonder how many current owners and fans of
these cars first fell in love with them as impressionable youngsters
watching The Beverly Hillbillies?]
Note that the Clampetts are still at home, as evidenced by the
presence of their car in the drive. "Really, Milburn!
The Clampetts' gardener shouldn't leave his car parked in the front
driveway that way!" |

Mr. Drysdale
pleads with his wife to keep her from entering the Clampetts' home,
using such persuasive lines as, "Oh, Margaret, uh, don't you want
to stop at home first and freshen up? Take some medicine or
something?"
Milburn resorts to grabbing her by the fox stole she's wearing.
Jethro walks up to find them tussling over the fox, and upon hearing
Mrs. Drysdale exclaim "Let go, you beast!", he offers his
help: "Step aside, lady, I'll shoot it." She flings it
into the air, and he shoots it....

to faint. She's passed out in the 1962 Imperial's luxurious front
seat when Granny comes outside to see what the commotion is about.
"What's going on?" she asks. "Jethro shot a
fox", replies Jed. "That's Mizz Drysdale, stewed to the
gills." |
