This rare 1949 Chrysler Crown Imperial Eight Passenger Sedan appeared for sale on the Internet late in 2006. The following information was received from Greg Krapp, whose family owned the car at that time:
"My father bought it, new, from Turner & Blood, Inc. NYC, NY (I have the bill of sale). It was housed on Long Island until about 1960 when it was moved to a family summer home in Henniker, NH. My brother, and particularly his friend, has recently put over $30,000 into restoring the car. The car hasn’t been in an accident that I recall. It was one of several cars our father kept in NH and he drove it to be sure it ran. Every winter it was kept on blocks. When my father bought it, his father bought a black one. Both cars were in Henniker until an estate sale of my oldest brother."
